Important Update: CRA Direct Deposit Changes

As of March 24, 2025, the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) no longer accepts direct deposit updates through EFILE software or by phone. 

Next Steps

To update or set up direct deposit after this date, you will need to use one of the following options: 

 ✔ CRA’s online portal (My Account) 

 ✔ Your financial institution (via the Direct Deposit by Financial Institution (DDFI) service) 

 ✔ By mail (using the CRA’s direct deposit request form)
