Interac™ has scheduled important database maintenance this weekend, which will temporarily affect e-Transfer services for Luminus Financial members. We want to make sure you’re informed and prepared.
When Is the Maintenance?
The maintenance window will run from Saturday, April 18 to Sunday, April 19, approximately 11:00 p.m. PT Saturday to 3:00 a.m. PT Sunday (2:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m. ET).
What to Expect
During the maintenance window, there will be a 60-minute service pause between 1:00 a.m. and 2:00 a.m. PT (4:00 a.m. to 5:00 a.m. ET). During this hour:
- All Interac™ e-Transfer services will be unavailable
- Attended deposit links will not be accessible
- Email and SMS notifications will not be sent in real time
The good news: any notifications generated during the pause will be automatically processed once service resumes, so nothing will be lost.
After the Maintenance
Following the upgrade, Interac™ will enter a Hypercare monitoring period starting at approximately 3:00 a.m. PT (6:00 a.m. ET). Central 1 will work closely with Interac during this time to ensure everything runs smoothly. In the unlikely event that a rollback is needed, the downtime could be extended by up to one additional hour.
What You Can Do
If you’re planning to send or receive an e-Transfer this weekend, we recommend completing your transaction before Saturday evening or waiting until later Sunday morning to avoid any disruption.
All other Luminus Financial services will continue to operate as usual.
