Join Us In Helping Toronto Women “Dress For Success”
While the unemployment rate in Canada is at its lowest levels in decades, women in the workforce continue to be adversely impacted.
Three quarters of part time workers in Canada are women, citing a reduction in their hours to support family, home and childcare. Women are also taking jobs below their qualifications and are significantly less likely than men to be promoted.
Since 2009, Dress for Success Toronto® has been empowering women to obtain safer and better futures by providing professional clothing, career training programs, and mentorship as they pursue new career opportunities. They have helped over 15,000 women transition from unemployment to economic independence.
Help Us As We Support Dress for Success
Help us raise support for the Dress for Success program by donating new or gently used professional women’s wear. The Dress for Success Toronto team is specifically looking for:
- Flat Shoes (all sizes)
- Professional Footwear (all sizes)
- Classic / Professional Jewelry / Accessories
- Professional Handbags / Purses
- Scarves
Want to take part?
- Donations of new or gently used professional women’s wear can be dropped off at our Downtown Hub or Weston Branch during regular branch hours.
- Donate funds to support Dress For Success Toronto via the dedicated Luminus Financial donation page. Your support allows DFS Toronto to offer their services to those in need, at no cost. Through their programs, Clients get a fresh start and the ability to change the trajectory of their future.
- Luminus Financial will also be supporting Dress for Success Toronto with a $1,000 donation to help further the impact of their important work.
